Angels that BurnLiving in a world of dreams
I met an angel that wrapped me in his arms
He sung me sweet songs of joy
He let me have a taste of paradise
His wings were pure and shielded me from the world’s evils
But then that day came where they burned
Cast out from heaven the ashes fell
A dark snow that covered all
I fell in a sea of black and drowned in the ash
The weight of sins was too great
His wings had caught that flicker of hell
And oh how they burned
Those burnt wings are now black and laced with scars
Life leaves the souls and everything is tarnished
A dark cloud formed that’s never left
And the sea remains dark and tainted
The gates to paradise closed too suddenly
And now the lock has been sealed
Cast out from heaven faster than a breath
And oh how my breath had been hasty
Weighed down from a full heart I quivered
Arms that once held me true had fallen
And wings that once saved me vanished
The memories are shattered and I stumble on their fragments

Blossoms in the BreezeThe fields are green and ripe
The flowers will be in full blossom
I bloom to your kiss
While flowers bloom to your warmth
A overwhelming sorrow fills me without you
But overwhelming love fills me with your smile
Gaze over the fields to find your peace
See my glistening eyes looking back at you
Feel the happiness inside yourself
Let it consume your being
Take my hand so I may lead you to endless joy
Look into my eyes so you may feel complete
I won't hold you with shackles
You're made of the air and I of the ground
When you're ready you can leave
The doors of your cage will always be open
You'll always have home to return to
Flap your wings and fly off
Feel the cooling winds
Be one with the soft clouds
I may not be with you but my memory will stay
My sweet scent will always be with you in the breeze
And those red sunsets will always remind you of my face
I know you'll never truly leave
Find your second life among the sky
And when you wish to be one with the flowers again
I'll be here wai
How It Began"God, your two o'clock is here."
"I have a two o'clock?"
"He's been here since 7:45. I figured it's only polite to... sir."
God sighed. "Fine, send him in."
While He waited God cleared His desk of papers and blueprints; no need for outsiders to see His plans. Soon enough the door to His office opened and God stood, smiled, held out a hand towards one of the two visitor's chairs.
"God! Great stuff you're doing in sector 2-7-0! Great stuff!"
The man's hands were clammy, his handshake limp. Rumpled suit, porkpie hat, briefcase... oh Jes-- oh dear, a salesman. God's smile slipped a little but He soldiered on gamely. With luck He could shoo the poor guy away in a few minutes.
"So, what can I do for you?"
The man sat, briefcase across his knees. "Sector 2-7-0! Everyone's talking about it! What do you call it? Man and merman?"
"Man and woman, actually. And thanks. But we're pretty busy around here, and..."
"Oh! Right! No time for the wicked, eh?" The salesman winked and popped his briefcase,
